Oxygen therapy

Oxygen therapy

In our intensive care unit, we pay particular attention to the care of respiratory patients, and we have designed several kennels to provide optimal conditions for the non-invasive use of respiratory support. This is particularly important for animals with severe respiratory problems requiring life-saving, rapid and effective treatment.

High Flow Oxygen Injection System

The possibility of introducing High-Flow Oxygen Therapy (HFCT) is a key feature of kennel design. This solution allows animals to breathe in heated, humidified and oxygenated air, which allows the lungs to function more efficiently and reduces breathing difficulties.

The benefits of the breath support process:

  • Heated and Humidified Air: the warming and humidification of the air used in oxygen therapy helps to reduce irritation of the airways and promotes natural hydration of the respiratory mucous membranes. This is particularly important for animals with respiratory difficulties.
  • Oxygen enrichment: Enriching the treated air with oxygen ensures that the animals receive sufficient oxygen with maximum efficiency. This is essential to maintain tissue oxygenation, especially in patients with severe respiratory diseases.
  • Non-Invasive Method: The advantage of this form of ventilatory support is that it is non-invasive, i.e. it does not require histological or surgical intervention. This reduces stress levels in the animals and avoids the risk of further complications, while allowing the patient to breathe naturally.
  • Flexibility and Customizability: The system allows respiratory support to be tailored to the individual needs of the patient, taking into account the respiratory conditions, the patient's condition and the treatment plan.

This method of respiratory support is an integral part of modern veterinary care and contributes significantly to the recovery of our patients with respiratory problems.
