Our doctors

Dr. László Laczkó

Veterinary surgeon, orthopaedic specialist
Founding member of the Hungarian Pet Orthopaedic Association

I graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Shortly afterwards, in 1990, I was one of the first in Hungary to open a private practice in the old Zagyva Street surgery. As the demand for patient care increased, space became limited, so I moved the practice here to the veterinary hospital in Rákóczi Street. I specialise in orthopaedic and spinal surgery and also do a large number of soft tissue surgeries. I am the only one in the country to have a pacemaker implanted. As a founding member of the Hungarian Pet Orthopaedic Association, I try to introduce the latest surgical techniques in my practice, using the latest innovative implants.

Dr. Lehel Laczkó

Veterinarian

I spent a lot of time at the Hospital during my high school years, working as a summer assistant, so I had the opportunity to learn a lot of specialities and gain useful practical knowledge. During my university years, my interest in surgical subjects deepened, I wrote my thesis on the diagnosis and therapy of disc herniation in dogs, and I was awarded a scholarship by the Hungarian Pet Orthopaedic Association. My main areas of interest are soft tissue, orthopaedic and minimally invasive surgery. At our institution I perform a large number of laparoscopic, orthopaedic and spinal surgeries, as well as neurological examinations. I help our patients recover by performing MRI and CT scans during our office hours. I am a regular attendee of conferences abroad and in Hungary, and in 2024 I completed the traumatology course of the Swiss-based AO organization.
